AboutMacinCord is a native Discord client for classic Macintosh computers running System 7 through Mac OS 9. It connects to Discord through a relay server running on a modern computer on the same local network. Features include text messaging, voice chat, image viewing and uploads, direct messages, server browsing, and member lists - all rendered natively with QuickDraw on vintage hardware. |

Bug reports and feature requests can be submitted from any browser (including Classilla on your vintage Macintosh) as long as you have an OldAppleStuff account.
By downloading, installing, or using MacinCord from OldAppleStuff, Macintosh Garden, or any other source, you agree to the following terms.
MacinCord End-User License Agreement (EULA)
1. License Grant. OldAppleStuff grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MacinCord on computers you own or control.
2. Restrictions. You may NOT:
Exception: Distribution of the MacinCord application is expressly permitted on Macintosh Garden (macintoshgarden.org), uploaded by the author only.
Extra Prohibited Distribution: Macintosh Repository (macintoshrepository.org) is specifically and explicitly prohibited from hosting, mirroring, linking to, or distributing MacinCord or any associated files in any form. Any unauthorized distribution by Macintosh Repository will result in a DMCA takedown notice.
3. Relay Source Code. The relay server source code is available under a separate license at github.com/alexhoopes/macincord-relay. The Mac client (MacinCord.bin) remains closed-source.
4. Ownership. MacinCord is the intellectual property of OldAppleStuff. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5. Termination. This license terminates automatically if you violate any of its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the software.
6. Disclaimer & Discord Terms of Service. MacinCord is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. OldAppleStuff is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc.
MacinCord is a third-party client, which is technically against Discord's Terms of Service. However, Discord has historically not taken action against vintage/legacy platform clients that are used for personal, non-abusive purposes. Discord's enforcement focuses on automated bots, spam, and abuse - not on individual users connecting from retro hardware.
By downloading and using MacinCord, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any consequences related to your Discord account, including the theoretical risk of account termination. OldAppleStuff and its developers are not responsible for any actions taken by Discord against your account.
7. Limitation of Liability. OldAppleStuff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software.
