Welcome to WebCamToo v1.4 Quick note This is a termporary release because I'm currently adding the Open Transport native support and it may be another week or so before I get that working properly and stable. This release is intended as an interim update to the previous release. This release includes some new features, some bug fixes and maybe something else but offhand I can't remember just now. As always, check out the WebCamToo homepage for the latest information. Documentation In the "Release Notes" folder you'll find a bunch of html files which you'll need a browser to read. At this point I'm assuming that everyone who downloads the WebCamToo program does have a browser! (fair assumption methinks). If you pop the notes folder into the "Web Pages" folder, run WCT, run a web browser and stick the IP address of your machine into the location box in your browser then you can read the documents online, having them served by WCT (totally pointless but it shows you that WCT is working). Please note that the example image grabs reference my machine here at work (elizium.mmcorp.com) and so if you are reading the docs offline then you won't get any images...you will get a broken image icon. Open Transport WebCamToo does not yet use native Open Transport calls. Those of you using Open Transport may notice some problems. This I know about and I'm currently working on the Open Transport code. I will release an OT native version as soon as I get the code in shape so please be patient. Warning You must delete your old prefs file. The new version has a different format for the prefs file and if you use your old prefs file you'll get some odd results! Problems Before emailing me with your problems, read the release notes carefully. Then, go to the WCT homepage and read the known bugs list there, where I'll also provide solutions where possible. License The full license agreement is in the release notes. Binky 22 November 1996 ps. if you use the program then please tell me the url of the page on which you use it. not only do I get an idea of how many people are using it but also everyone can then see your camera view.
