Driver support for Mac OS 8.6 and later has been improved. 4) KNOWN LIMITATIONS ================= -HP Scanjet 6100 and IICX scanners, and Archive SCSI tape drives do not work with the PGMFHUB and PGSCSI. -Localtalk devices, Geoport devices, Midi devices, and most Wacom Tablets do not work with the PGMFHUB and PGMSD8. -Some Macs may not resume from sleep mode with the PGSCSI or PGMFHUB attached. See troubleshooting for more information. -Some Epson Din-8 printers may not work with the PGMSD8 or PGMFHUB. -SCSI Zip drives attached to the PGMFHUB or PGSCSI may lock the machine if the disk is not initialized with the Anubis universal formatter utility. See troubleshooting for more information. -The PGMFHUB and PGSCSI cannot be hotswaped. For device compatibility information please visit the Xircom website at www.xircom.com. 5) TROUBLESHOOTING =============== Locating the port to connect the PortGear product ------------------------------------------------------------------ The PortGear product connects to your computer via the USB port. To find the USB port, look for the USB symbol on the side, rear or front of your computer. You can also connect the PortGear product to a USB hub connected to your computer. If you cannot find a port featuring the USB symbol, consult your computer documentation for USB port availability and support. My Mac won't resume from suspend with the PortGear product attached ------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not have your PortGear PGSCSI or PGMFHUB attached when the machine enters suspend. You may also choose to disable sleep mode by clicking on Control Panels -> Energy Saver. Under the Sleep Setup tab move the slider bar to the never option. My Mac locks when I try to copy to or from my SCSI Zip drive ------------------------------------------------------------------ First soloution: use a non Iomega disk manufactured by either Fuji or Maxell. Second soulution: have the Zip disk initialized by the Anubis universal formatter utility. The PGSCSI or PGMFHUB must be connected, powered and have the SCSI Zip or Jaz drive powered and connected. The Anubis initialized disk must be in the drive at boot time.
