1.  Introduction
 Thank you for using Melco Co., Ltd.'s HG3/HG4-PM series.
 This instruction file contains the information necessary when using HG3 or HG4.

6.	how to use

 (1) Installation
 The installation must be performed before installing the HG4.
 On the HG4 utility floppy disk, select a file with a name that matches your product.
 Open the folder and double-click the "Setup" icon to start the installer.

 When the installer starts, click the "Install" button.
 When the installation is finished, a completion message will be displayed, so click "OK".

 This completes the installation of the HG4 utility.  Shut down your Macintosh (power off)

7.	Uninstall
 If you want to remove the HG4 and put it back in the original processor card, use the HG4 utility.
 Please uninstall.
 To uninstall, double-click the "Setup" icon and select
 Start the installer.
 When the installer starts, click the "Uninstall" button.
 Once the uninstallation is complete, a completion message will be displayed, so click "OK"

 Exit the macintosh (power off) and return to the original processor card.


8.	Installation/uninstallation information

  When you run the installation with setup, the following processes will be performed.
 1) Add HG4 function extension to the function extension folder of the system folder of the booted hard disk.

 2) Create a MELCO folder on the booted hard disk and save HG4 information.

 When uninstalling is performed during setup, the following processing will be performed.
 1) HG4 function extension in the function extension folder of the system folder of the booted hard disk

 2) Delete the MELCO folder and HG4 information on the booted hard disk.

9.	Note

 When installing the HG4 before installing the HG4 utility, the hard disk
 This may cause malfunctions, such as not being able to start.
 Also, the same problem may occur if you clear PRAM.
 This problem can be fixed by installing the HG4 utility on Macintosh.
 This can be avoided by writing the information.
 If the written information is lost due to PRAM clearing etc. with the HG4 installed, the hardware
 If you are unable to boot from the floppy disk of the HG4 utility,
 Please set it and start it.  By booting from a floppy disk, you can
 HG4 information can be written to the Macintosh in the same way as when it was stalled.
