Keep in mind we aren't perfect so if you do have problems/bug reports please tell us about it.\ \ Warning: Although this disk boots on all machines with a high density drive do not use it for a universal system because many of the resources that you would need have been removed (i.e., appletalk, balloon help, the communications toolbox, etc.).\ \ Until the next major system software release this disk should boot on all machines given the proper enabler. All of the current enablers have been included. For those of you who would like to free up some more space on the disk you can remove some of the unnecessary enablers but be advised that you should only do this on a backup. Also since the system software has been stripped to the bare essentials most applications will crash.\ \ The following is a list of all of the enablers:\ 001 IIvx & IIvi - included on SCSI Director\'99 Installer\ 003 LC III - included on SCSI Director\'99 Installer\ 040 Centris 610, 650 & Quadra 800\ 088 660 AV and 840 AV\ 111 No longer necessary for the PowerBook 160 & 180 so it has been omitted\ 121 No longer necessary for the PowerBook 165c so it has been omitted\ 131 PowerBook 160, 165c, 180, 180c - included on SCSI Director\'99 Installer\ 201 No longer necessary for the Powerbook Duo 210 & 230 so it has been omitted\ 304 Performa 600 - not included\ 308 Performa 450 - not included\ 401 Color Classic - included on SCSI Director\'99 Installer\ 403 LC 520 - not included\ 404 MacTV - not included\ 065 LC 575 - not included\ Duo All PowerBook Duos - included on SCSI Director\'99 Installer\ PowerBook 500 Enabler - PowerBook 520/540\ Power Macintosh Enabler - Power Macintosh 6100/7100/8100\ \ The following machines do not need any enabler:\ IIx, IIcx, IIci, IIfx, IIsi\ LC, LC II, Performa 400\ SE/30\ Portable\ Classic, Classic II, Performa 200\ Quadra 700, Quadra 900, Quadra 950\ Powerbook 100, 140, 170, 145, 145b\ In theory the disk will work on a Plus, SE or II equipped with a high density drive.\ \ If your machine is not on either of the above lists then you need to copy the enabler into the system folder of the boot disk. You will find the enabler in the system folder of the Installmefirst diskette included with your computer. The name of the file will be of the form "System Enabler XXX" where X would be a number.\ \ [End of File]\ \ \ \ }
