*How to Play*

Read the included READ ME file for important instructions
on how to run Operation: Arctic Wolf. This scenario
includes more enemies than the DOOM II engine can handle.
To accomodate this, the last six levels of the scenario use
a second sprites and sound wad and a second Dehacked patch.

To play the first 11 levels (MAP09-MAP19), you must use
the ARCTIC1.DEH patch to create a new exe, and load
ARCTIC.WAD and GFX1.WAD. At the beginning of the 12th level
(MAP20, "Shark Farm"), save the game and quit. Create a second
exe with the ARCTIC2.DEH patch, load ARCTIC.WAD and
GFX2.WAD, and load the saved game.

Known Bugs: If you play this wad with the regular Doom2
engine, there will be some HOM in some of the large outdoor
areas, particularly around the dam on MAP07 and MAP08. PC
users who run this wad with BOOM, Legacy, or any of the
other source code projects should experience no problems.

*Story*

For months now, Allied Intelligence has suspected that the
German navy has been attempting to construct a
nuclear-powered submarine somewhere in the Arctic Circle
that would rule the Atlantic and threaten the east coast of
the United States. The existence of this submarine,
codenamed Seeteufel (Sea Devil), has been confirmed.
Reconnaissance photos have pinpointed the site where it is
being built as a u-boat base in a fjord in northern Norway,
and although several spies have been dispatched to this
location, none of them has been heard from again. Your
mission is to infiltrate the base, rescue these missing
operatives, and destroy the new submarine before its
construction is completed.
