/*title_start*/Getting the Best Texture Exports/*title_end*/
/*text_start*/Here are some tips for getting the best possible exported texture quality for a 3D polymesh object in ZBrush:

\C020202>\C484848 Save the object\C484848 first as a \C020202ZTL\C484848 file, using \C020202Tool>Save As,\C484848 with the texture applied. When exporting, ZBrush performs certain adjustments to make textures readily compatible with other programs. Saving ensures you'll have an original, unadjusted version which can be edited later. If materials are embedded in the texture, these can also be recalled when loaded (since ZBrush materials are not exported).

\C020202>\C484848 Export the entire model,\C484848 with the texture applied, as an \C020202OBJ\C484848 file (even if you're only interested in the texture). ZBrush performs significant adjustments to the texture, which is saved as a separate \C020202BMP\C484848 file with the same name. Adjustments include vertical flipping and seam fixing (if necessary), and other operations which ensure maximum quality when rendered in the destination program.

These texture adjustments can be done manually, especially if \C020202PSD\C484848 or \C020202TIFF\C484848 format is preferred. Select the texture in the \C020202Texture\C484848 palette and press the \C020202Flip V\C484848 button. Then in the \C020202Tool>Texture\C484848 sub-palette, adjust the \C020202Fix Seam Border\C484848 slider and press \C020202Fix Seam\C484848. If necessary, you can also adjust the \C020202U\C484848 and \C020202V\C484848 offsets and press \C020202Apply Adjustments\C484848. After manually adjusting, press \C020202Texture>Export\C484848 to export in your choice of formats.
