/*text_start*/When editing 3D objects, a wide variety of editing options becomes available, enabling you to add and change physical details, geometry, texture and color.

To activate \C020202Edit Object\C484848 (you may also see it called 'entering \C020202Edit\C484848 mode'), click the \C020202Edit Object\C484848 button in the \C020202Transform\C484848 palette, or use the hotkey shortcut \C020202T\C484848. Do this before selecting another tool or drawing another instance of the same tool in the canvas.

While you're editing, the object remains three-dimensional, and you can rotate it to edit other sides. In fact, you don't even need to switch modes -- simply drag on the background (anywhere off the object's surface) to rotate the object freely. To rotate on the in-out (Z) axis only, press and hold the Shift key, click and hold outside the object, release the Shift key, and then drag the mouse.

You can also move and scale the object while in Edit mode:

To move the object, hold down the Alt key and drag on the canvas. To scale the object, hold down the Alt key, click and hold the mouse, release the Alt key while still holding the mouse button, and drag.
