/*title_start*/Draw-Pointer Edit Modes/*title_end*/
/*text_start*/When editing a tool with the \C020202Draw Pointer\C484848 selected, a number of sculpting modes become active. These can be selected using buttons in the \C020202Transform\C484848 palette. All modes except \C020202Smooth\C484848 are governed by values in the current \C020202Edit Curve\C484848 (\C020202Smooth\C484848 is governed by the \C020202Smooth Curve\C484848).

By default, holding the \C020202Shift\C484848 key momentarily switches to the \C020202Smooth\C484848 mode. You can assign another mode to the Shift key by \C020202Shift\C484848-clicking the mode button.

Since the \C020202Z Intensity\C484848 slider plays an important role in each mode, its setting is stored and recalled each time a mode is selected.

Here is a description of each mode:

\C020202Standard:\C484848 heaps bulk upon the object's surface. During the stroke, the edit crosshair is sampled; at each sample, all mesh points are displaced in the same direction.

\C020202Dot:\C484848 same as \C020202Standard\C484848, but applies only one instance of displacement. You can drag and release at the place you'd like a bump.
