/*text_start*/The \C020202Crease\C484848 feature provides a means of adding crisp edges or folds to a mesh. To apply, use \C020202Partial Mesh Visibility\C484848 controls to show a selected portion (or portions) of the mesh, and press the \C020202Crease\C484848 button. The edges of the selected visible polygons are assigned a crease (indicated by a small dotted line when viewed in \C020202Polyframes\C484848 mode); these edges are prevented from smoothing when the mesh is subdivided.

Creases can be placed on one side of an edge, resulting in a corner fold which is rounded on one side but not the other; or both sides, resulting in a completely unrounded corner fold.

The \C020202Uncrease\C484848 button does the opposite: it removes creases at the edges of visible portions if they have been assigned. Holding the \C020202Shift\C484848 key and pressing either the \C020202Crease\C484848 or \C020202Uncrease\C484848 button acts on all individual polygons in visible mesh portions.

The \C020202Crease\C484848 feature differs from \C020202Crisp Edge Loops\C484848 in a few ways:

\C020202>\C484848 It does not contribute additional polygons to the mesh, therefore features such as \C020202morphing\C484848 and \C020202Smart ReSymmetry\C484848 can be performed on the mesh.

\C020202>\C484848 It is a ZBrush-specific function, so low-res meshes exported to other modeling programs cannot be smoothed in the same way when subdivided in those environments.

\C020202>\C484848 It can define a one-sided or two-sided corner fold as described above.
