/*title_start*/Placing Lights/*title_end*/
/*text_start*/There are three ways to place lights within a scene:

First, you can use the \C020202Light Placement Window\C484848 in the \C020202Light\C484848 palette. Click on the square and drag it across the sphere. While dragging, you will see the lighting on the sphere change to reflect the new placement. When you release it, the light will be at the location of the square and your document will update to reflect the new light position.

Clicking once on the square changes the light from a front light (shining away from you the viewer) to a back light (shining toward you). Clicking again switches back to a front light.

Second, you can use the \C020202P\C484848 button in the \C020202Light>Placement\C484848 sub-palette (available only for \C020202Point\C484848, \C020202Spot\C484848, and \C020202Glow\C484848 lights). Click the button, then drag out onto the canvas. The light is then placed at the X, Y and Z coordinates of the point at which the cursor is released. Note: Z (depth) position is only sampled from the current (active) layer.

Third, you can use the sliders in the \C020202Light>Placement\C484848 sub-palette (available only for \C020202Point\C484848, \C020202Spot\C484848, and \C020202Glow\C484848 lights). These are set automatically when using the \C020202P\C484848 button, and are useful for making fine adjustments.
