/*pointto:Tool:DepthBrush*/
/*title_start*/Depth (3D) Brush/*title_end*/

/*text_start*/The Depth Brush uses an alpha bitmap to create an elevation field. It uses the orientation of the surface you draw on. You would typically use the Depth Brush with the default \C020202Dots\C484848 stroke type to draw continuous copies of the elevation field, or with the \C020202Drag Rectangle\C484848 stroke type to draw one at a time. In the former case, the size is set by the \C020202Draw\C484848 palette settings, but with Drag Rectangle, the overall size is set by dragging.

Once drawn, you can alter the placement, size and orientation using the \C020202Transform Gyro;\C484848 press \C020202Move\C484848, \C020202Scale\C484848 or \C020202Rotate\C484848 in the \C020202Transform\C484848 palette.

The Depth Brush can use differing settings for \C020202RGB Opacity\C484848 and \C020202Z Opacity\C484848 in the \C020202Draw\C484848 palette.

\C020202Modifiers:\C484848
\C020202DoubleSided:\C484848 This option effectively places the alpha bitmap back to back. If you use a Depth Brush set to \C020202DoubleSided\C484848 on a thin object, the brush may protrude through the back side of the object. Also, when you turn \C020202DoubleSided\C484848 on, the tool is 'solidified,' so that the \C020202RGB Opacity\C484848 and \C020202Z Opacity\C484848 are distributed evenly over the brush surface. When \C020202DoubleSided\C484848 is off, relative opacity is based on the alpha mask.
