/*text_start*/Any \C020202Alpha\C484848 can be converted into a polymesh object by using the \C020202Alpha>Make 3D\C484848 button. This expands the alpha into 3D space, creating a new 3D object with thicknesses corresponding to the alpha's grayscale values. White areas result in maximum thickness, and black areas result in zero thickness (no mesh).

The various settings next to the \C020202Make 3D\C484848 button give fine control over the nature of the mesh that will be created:

\C020202Mesh Depth\C484848: depth (thickness) of the mesh.
\C020202Mesh Resolution\C484848: a higher resolution more closely follows the shape of the alpha and creates a denser mesh.
\C020202Double Sided\C484848: if pressed, the mesh is double-sided; if un-pressed, the mesh has a flat back.
\C020202Mesh Smooth\C484848: Smoothness of the surface. By changing this slider to 0, ZBrush will create an object made up of small cubes -- this is also known as \C020202cubical skinning\C484848.
