/*title_start*/Q: How do I change the interface layout?/*title_end*/

/*text_start*/\C020202A: \C484848ZBrush's interface layout is extremely versatile, enabling you to choose or create configurations which suit any task.

ZBrush's main palettes, which can always be accessed as drop-down menus in the top row, can also be placed in sliding panels on the left and right side. This gives you ready access to constantly-used palettes.

Each palette can be moved within a panel, or can be moved from one panel to the other. Once in a panel, a palette can be collapsed, expanded, or placed in \C020202Basic\C484848 (showing essential items) or \C020202Expert\C484848 mode (showing all items).

In addition to manipulating entire palettes, ZBrush enables you to create any number of customized \C020202Floating Palettes,\C484848 consisting of only the items you use most, and place them anywhere inside the document area or sliding panels.

Using controls in the \C020202Preferences>IColors\C484848 sub-palette, you can precisely define the colors used by every type of item in the ZBrush interface.

From ZBrush's title bar, you can choose from among predefined interface configurations, including your own customized 'master' configuration. To save a 'master' configuration, press the \C020202Store Config\C484848 button in the \C020202Preferences>Config\C484848 sub-palette. Other customized configurations can be saved and loaded using buttons in this sub-palette.

In addition to interface configurations, ZBrush enables you to specify certain startup conditions such as lights and canvas size. You can do this by creating a document with your desired startup conditions, and save it as a template file named \C020202StartupDocument.ZBR\C484848 in the \C020202ZStartup\C484848 folder.
