/*title_start*/Using the ZBrush Palettes/*title_end*/
/*text_start*/All ZBrush's interface items -- buttons, sliders, switches, swatches and ZGraphs -- are located within the main palettes. These palettes can always be accessed as pull-down menus; float over the name of any palette and it drops down into the ZBrush document area, enabling you to access all its interface items. (This behavior is known as 'Auto Pulldown'; you can turn off this option in the \C020202Preferences\C484848 palette to require a click before palettes drop down.)

While a palette is pulled down, you can scroll upward and downward by simply dragging in empty space inside it.

Main palettes can also be added to the left and right panels, so they remain open while you work. To add a palette to a panel, pull it down and click the small yellow circle in the upper-left corner. This small circle also helps you manage palettes housed in the panels: click it to remove it from the panel; drag it to move the palette to the opposite panel, or above or below other palettes in the same panel.

While a palette is housed in a panel, it can be collapsed or expanded by clicking on its title. Also, you'll find a special arrow-shaped icon in its title bar; this places the palette in either \C020202Basic\C484848 mode (showing only its essential items) or \C020202Expert\C484848 mode (showing all its items). Clicking either of these places with the \C020202Shift\C484848 key pressed performs the action for all palettes in the same panel.
