Once generated, the displacement map is added to the Alpha palette.

Displacement information can be interpreted differently by different programs. ZBrush generates maps wherein 50% gray represents zero displacement, 0% (black) represents maximum inward displacement, and 100% (white) represents maximum outward displacement.

A number of options are available for adjusting the map, for example, splitting it into two maps: one inward and one outward. View the Recommended Reading for more information.

Now it's time to export the map (using Alpha>Export), and export/save the object (using Tool>Export/Save As) if desired.
