ThreadManager. Files you created (like saved or downloaded
ReadyMades or exported Pictures) will also be removed.

For Unistalling on Windows view the ReadMe.txt in the Windows install CD.

Troubleshooting
===============

If Print Tricks fails to launch or run properly:

1. Turn Virtual Memory on if you have between 8 & 12 MB of RAM.
Print Tricks requires at least 3900k of free RAM.

2. Before running Print Tricks, close all open windows (except the
Print Tricks folder) and quit all running programs, including those
that run automatically when you start up your Mac (such as screen
savers and toolbars).

3. Turn off nonessential extensions and control panels using the
Extensions Manager control panel (restart your Mac afterwards).
The extensions needed to run Print Tricks are:
 - Apple CD-ROM
 - Sound Manager 3.2
 - Thread Manager 2.1
In addition, to go online, you need:
 - MacTCP, Open Transport and PPP extensions
 - Dialer (PPP) control panels

4. Turn off background printing.

5. If the above three steps fail to correct a launching problem,
please upgrade your RAM to 16 MB or greater.

Animation and Sound:

If you are experiencing problems with video, animation or sound:

1. Set your monitor graphics mode to display 640x480 resolution
with 256 colors. To do so, launch the Monitors control panel.

2. Before running Print Tricks, close all open windows and quit all
running programs, including those that run automatically when you
start up your Mac.

3. Computers with slower components (66 MHz 68040's, 60 MHz Power
PC's, 2X CD-ROM drives) or smaller memories (8 MB RAM) may exhibit
poor audio/animation performance and longer delays (loads) between
screens or during printing.

4. If you have a 68040-based Macintosh (e.g. Quadra or an early
Performa model), make sure that you set the Cache Switch control
panel to "Faster."

Going Online:

If you have trouble visiting the Print Tricks web site from within the
Print Tricks program:

1. Run Browser Setup to configure Print Tricks to launch your
browser. If Browser Setup cannot find an open browser -- make
sure that you quit your browser before running Browser Setup.

2. Make sure that your browser and dialer are configured to connect
to your ISP, then try launching your browser to a well-known web
page BEFORE running Print Tricks and going online. If you don't see
the web page (make sure it's not "cached" on your hard drive), call
your ISP for support. If you do see the web page, try launching your
browser to http://www.wwwishbone.com next. If you can't enter
the World Wide Wishbone site, our web server may be busy or
unavailable, so please try again later.

3. You must run Browser Setup after installing the AT&T Worldnet
browser, or any updated browser you choose to install later.

4. To return to Print Tricks after going online, make sure you quit
your browser. Closing the last (or only) open browser window won't
quit your browser.

5. Open Transport improperly unloads from memory, resulting in a
Type 11 system error, requiring you to restart your Mac. Make sure
that Open Transport doesn't unload when you disconnect from your
ISP:
 - Open the TCP/IP Control Panel.
 - Select Edit, then select User Mode.
 - Click the Advanced button and click OK.
 - Click Options (lower right of screen).
 - Click to uncheck "load only when needed" and click OK.
 - Close the TCP/IP Control Panel and click Save.

6. Apple's PPP dialer installed with Open Transport doesn't run
reliably with System 7.6. Please upgrade your system to
version 7.6.1 or later.

7. If Print Tricks fails to launch your browser, see troubleshooting
items (1) through (3) above under "If Print Tricks Launcher fails to
launch Print Tricks."

Other:

1. If you have a PowerPC-based MacIntosh, make sure that you turn on
the Modern Memory Manager in the Memory control panel.
