COPY ][+ ON THE QUIKLOADER

The enclosed files, plus the files on your Copy ][+ 6.7, will allow you to
build a program chip. You will require the files UTIL.SYSTEM and
BITCOPY.SYSTEM from your Copy ][+ 6.7 disk.
Transfer the two aboved named files to a freshly initialized DOS 3.3 disk.
Also transfer the files COPYIIPLUS.OVHD, and COPYIIPLUS.BUILD to the same
disk. Execute the text file COPYIIPLUS.BUILD, and when all the action stops,
there will be two files on the disk.
The files COPYIIPLUS.B01 and COPYIIPLUS.B23 are ready to program into a
27512 EPROM. The file COPYIIPLUS.B01 is to be programmed in to chip addresses
$0000 through $7FFF. The file COPYIIPLUS.B23 is to be programmed into chip
addresses $8000 through $FFFF.

OPERATION OF COPY ][+

The two parts of Copy ][+, Utilities and BitCopy, are setup to go get the
other from the quiKloader card. When you want to move from one to the other,
the message will tell you to put in the disk, but that is not necessary to get
to the other program.

If you intend to use the auto copy features of the BitCopy routine, you
MUST place the Copy ][+ data disk in Slot 6, Drive 1 BEFORE going to the
BitCopy routine. None of the routines requiring parameter data will work if
the ProDOS prefix is not set, an error will occur. When the prefix is set,
ProDOS goes out to the disk drives to see if it is really there. Without the
data disk in the drive, you will not be able to use those features that require
parameter data, but the rest of the features will work.

This allows using parameter updates without having to program another
chip. Also, due to the large memory size of the parameter data files, two
chips would be required to hold all the Copy ][+ files.

PROmGRAMER OWNERS

The text file on the disk named BURN.COPYIIPLUS is an executible text file
for burning the Copy ][+ chip using the PROmGRAMER from Southern California
Research Group. Transfer the file to the same disk that contains your Copy ][+
chip files. Load your PROmGRAMER with a 27512 EPROM and run the PROmGRAMER
software. Check that the EPROM is fully erased and without leaving the
PROmGRAMER program, EXEC BURN.COPYIIPLUS, the files will be loaded and the chip
will be programmed.
